My uncle was a police officer there (In Hurley) right out of the Academy in 1994, wasn’t there long before he moved to Roswell. Sadly he passed away in 2022. Wish I could ask about his year there but I bet it was boring lol

I live in Kite Ga and your statistics are not right. In our town everyone knows everyone and its a community. A lot of us work out of town and our kids are doing fine. We dont come to your town and talk about it. My husbands family founded this town so trust me you know nothing. You ride 1 block and think you know enough to talk about someones home? Statistics are not truth so next time you want to talk about someone's home and life ,drive around your own damn neighborhood . Stay out of ours.

Hi Jackie here, from Raleigh NC. Just gotta say, it's great the 16th Street Mall is working well for Denver. Raleigh used to have Fayetteville Street Mall but once an actual shopping mall opened up on the outskirts of the city it sucked all the life blood out of downtown so it was turned back into a road. However, with the arrival of companies such as Red Hat and Cisco downtown Raleigh has seen a revival. No new pedestrian mall though.

late on this, good vid.. I grew up in amity and glenwood. Its been like that for a long time. Bean lumber was their major employer till they pass away and one was cooking the books. Ever since its been ruff to find any work in the area, so they travel to arkadelphia, hot springs for jobs. Amity for the longest had a very bad history of drug dealers and users, till late 1990s they did a big raid and almost wipe the entire town due drugs. You actually drove pass my sister house in amity, and said yea its poor. It was a old very old gas station at one time, we converted it to a home. They video you shot was in middle of a remodel, so it look like trash. Should have turn right, on texas street and just stay on it. That is the main street of amity, and leaving town should have took the north hwy 8 and see the old school we had. Like others said, should gotten out and meet the people, they wont bite. some will give you great details about the town and how become. The census is wrong, its a est. less then 100 lives in amity, and less then 500 lives in glenwood now. But good job pointing out these small town that time has forgotten for lot of good and bad reasons.

I wish you would go into NJ and drive around Maplewood. I’m 82 now but I was two years old when my parents moved there from Ohio. When I came home from college, I got married and moved to PA so It’s been a long time since I’ve visited Maplewood but I always loved it there. I wonder whether Maplewood has stayed the same, gotten worse or gotten better…I’d love to know.

You can't go by the average incomes they give you. Obviously, nobody is working, so there could be one really wealthy person, and they just divide his income by the total population to come up with an average. It is nowhere near accurate. That town is living on SS

You showed the median price of homes in the entire state. But the big island where you are is the least expensive, and the least developed island. You would do better to hook up with someone local to explain things to you, rather than having a surface view. It is true however, there are a lot of people that can't afford a place to live. On the big island one of local government's solutions is not to enforce building codes in certain counties. So you can buy a piece of land for $9000 and live off grid in an unpermitted dwelling and it's one less thing for government worry about.

Mound Bayou seems like a great place to raise a family to be honest. Blue collar town with small town values, low crime rate, low cost of living, and it seems like people take pride in their homes from what i saw. I saw a lot of homes with nice travel trailers, manicured lawns, and an overall pride of ownership. I make around $95,000 a year as a truck driver, and can barely afford a 2 bedroom appartment in the Seattle area. I could live like a king with that income in the south. Hopefully moving to eastern Texas in the next few years to get away from the expensive crime ridden shitshow that seattle has become
